Job Summary
We are looking for a Hardware Asset Management and Application Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level support for end-user computing assets and related business applications. The role is part of the Application Operations team and is responsible for HAM support, lifecycle management, and governance of hardware assets and applications, ensuring compliance, availability, and operational stability. Education Qualifications and Experience Required • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience in Hardware Asset Management, Application Support, or IT Operations roles. • Experience working in an enterprise IT environment supporting end-user assets and applications. • ITIL, Asset Management, or similar certifications are a plus. Job Responsibilities: Overview Hardware Asset Management: Manage end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle including procurement support, inventory, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Maintain accurate asset records in asset management systems and CMDB. Ensure compliance with asset governance, audit, and licensing requirements. Application Support Provide support for enterprise applications and end-user computing applications. Ensure application availability, performance, and controlled lifecycle management. Job Responsibilities: In Detail Provide operational and technical support for hardware assets including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and accessories. Manage hardware asset lifecycle activities such as allocation, refresh, replacement, and decommissioning. Track hardware assets using asset management tools and ensure CMDB accuracy. Support enterprise and end-user applications by handling incidents, service requests, and escalations from L1. Troubleshoot application, OS, and hardware-related issues within agreed SLAs. Coordinate with procurement, vendors, OEMs, and L3 teams for asset-related issues and replacements. Ensure compliance with software licensing, warranty, and asset governance policies. Support change, release, and deployment activities for applications and device refresh initiatives. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to problem management activities. Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, asset standards, and support documentation. Provide audit support by maintaining asset records and compliance evidence. Support on-site and remote operations as required, including shift or on-call support. Expected Skills Hands-on experience in Hardware Asset Management and end-user computing support. Strong understanding of hardware and asset lifecycle management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Experience providing L2 application support in an enterprise environment. Good knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management (ITIL). Experience with ITSM and Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, CMDB). Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware, OS, and application issues. Strong documentation, audit, and compliance awareness. Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise IT environment.
