Senior Full Stack Developer
United States
Job Description
Senior Full Stack Developer
Durham, North Carolina

Job Summary

We are looking for a full-stack, AI-native software engineer with deep AWS expertise to build

capabilities that will help secure the products of today and the AI-built, agent-operated systems

of tomorrow. Your technical leadership will be vital in solving some key challenges ahead of us,

whether it's architecting an always-on API platform that scales to our enterprise,

modernizing legacy applications and monolithic architectures that predate how fast code and risk

move today, or prototyping how security keeps pace as AI reshapes the way software gets built. You

will collaborate with leadership and engineers equally to put in place an execution plan, using

agile methodologies, to develop/test/deploy/support industry-leading services for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

You've made the shift from being an experienced, effective software engineer to being an

**AI-native** one:

- You have proven experience serving as a software engineer for web application

projects, hosted On-Premise and Cloud, supporting a large customer base.

- You treat performance as a design constraint, not a tuning pass after the fact.

- You know when to build and when to reach for a managed AWS service — you can justify that

trade-off based on the problem.

- You think in systems and evaluate designs critically — whether reviewing AI-generated code or

your own architecture — catching the subtle bug, security gap, or design choice that won't hold

up under load or misuse.

- You use spec-driven development with AI as your default way of engineering software.

- You pick up new tools and approaches quickly, since the effective way to work with AI changes

often, and you'd rather adapt early than fall behind.

- You are decisive without being divisive — you can analytically weigh trade-offs, balance

competing priorities, and drive decisions that span organizational boundaries.

- You have excellent communication and organization skills.

Skill Requirements

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or

demonstrated equivalent experience.

- Demonstrated fluency in leveraging AI technologies across the entire software development

lifecycle, including breaking down user stories into actionable tasks, AI-assisted coding and

testing, automated defect resolution, and deployment of fully tested software.

- Deep, hands-on experience building and deploying production systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda,

ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway), with a track record of real, customer-facing

applications running in production.

- Server-side software development experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, and/or other similar

technologies; client-side web application development experience using React, Backbone, native

JavaScript, and/or other comparable technologies.

- Expertise in building secure, large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies (such as

Elasticsearch, CockroachDB, Oracle, MongoDB & Kafka).

- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer) and/or CISSP/CCSP or similar security

certification useful, not required
