Job Summary
Detail-oriented and passionate Game QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing games across multiple platforms and input methods, with a strong understanding of game mechanics, usability, and player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility, and usability testing for games.
- Test games across Web and Native platforms.
- Validate gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, audio, performance, save/load functionality, and multiplayer features (where applicable).
- Execute test cases and create comprehensive bug reports with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, videos, and logs.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing for new builds.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Identify gameplay inconsistencies and provide constructive feedback to improve the overall player experience.
- Ensure compatibility across different browsers, operating systems, devices, and screen resolutions where applicable.
- Participate in release readiness activities and maintain high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Skill Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Game Testing / Game Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience testing Web-based and Native games.
- Experience testing games using multiple input methods, including:
* Keyboard & Mouse
* Trackpad
* Game Controllers
- Strong understanding of game testing methodologies, defect life cycle, and QA best practices.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Other Requirements
- Experience testing games on Xbox and PlayStation 5 (PS5) platforms.
- Familiarity with console certification guidelines and platform-specific testing practices.
- Experience testing multiplayer, online services, achievements/trophies, and controller compatibility.
- Basic understanding of game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine is an added advantage.
