Senior Group Technical Architect

Job Summary

Role Summary

The Planisware Technical Consultant will provide expert-level support, configuration, and optimization of Planisware applications. The role requires deep technical and functional knowledge of Planisware, strong upgrade and release management experience, and the ability to align system capabilities with business processes. This position acts as a key bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
2. To bridge the gap between client needs and business goals by gathering requirements, crafting innovative solutions with deep domain/technology expertise, and driving successful implementations that propel strategic initiatives.
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance /compliance measures.
5. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated
6. To submit Whitepapers, participate in industry forums and file Patents

Skill Requirements

Technical Proficiencies

Planisware Expertise

  • Extensive hands-on experience supporting Planisware applications
  • Deep understanding of Planisware modules, architecture, and core features
  • Expertise in configuring and customizing Planisware to meet organizational requirements
  • Strong knowledge of business rules, workflows, and reporting within Planisware

Database & Integration Skills

  • Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Planisware integrations, APIs, and data interfaces
  • Experience with scripting and automation to enhance system functionality

Upgrade & Migration Experience

  • Proven experience managing major Planisware upgrades and migrations (e.g., V6 to E7)
  • Strong understanding of change management and impact analysis
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, test, and execute upgrades with minimal business disruption

Release & Environment Management

  • Expertise in managing the end-to-end software release lifecycle
  • Coordination with external vendors, support teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring stability across development, test, and production environments

Project & Process Management

  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence for tracking, documentation, and collaboration
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across parallel initiatives

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose and resolve complex Planisware issues
  • Proactive identification of system risks, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  • Root cause analysis and preventive action planning

Training & User Support

  • Experience creating training materials, user guides, and documentation
  • Conducting knowledge transfer and end-user training sessions
  • Strong customer-focused approach supporting users with varying technical skills

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language
  • Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional and global teams
  • Experience gathering requirements and incorporating stakeholder feedback

Business Process Understanding

  • Strong knowledge of business process management
  • Understanding of how Planisware supports enterprise project, portfolio, and resource management
  • Ability to align technical solutions with strategic business objectives
