Role: SAP ABAP S/4HANA Consultant Location: Offshore Experience: 12–15 years Employment Type: Full-time Primary Skills: ABAP on HANA, RICEFW, S/4HANA Preferred Skills: Custom Fiori apps, Integration (RFC, IDoc, ALE) Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on SAP ABAP on HANA Developer to join our offshore delivery team in an L2 capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong development experience across all aspects of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) on S/4HANA, with a track record of delivering quality code in implementation, rollout, and support engagements and SAP integration techniques (RFC, IDocs, ALE) is mandatory. Exposure to custom Fiori application development is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop HANA-optimized ABAP using CDS Views (with annotations, associations, table functions), AMDPs, and code pushdown techniques. Build and consume OData services using SAP Gateway (SEGW) and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). Develop and deploy custom Fiori applications using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and Fiori Launchpad configuration (preferred). Implement integration scenarios using RFC, IDocs, ALE, BAPIs, and web services — including IDoc configuration, partner profiles, and error handling. Perform performance tuning and code optimization using SQL Monitor, Runtime Analysis (SAT), Code Inspector, and ATC (ABAP Test Cockpit). Adhere to clean core principles and SAP's recommended extensibility approach (key user, developer, and side-by-side extensibility). Design, develop, and unit-test ABAP on HANA objects across the full RICEFW spectrum on S/4HANA: Interfaces — inbound and outbound interfaces using IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, OData, REST/SOAP web services, and file-based integrations. Conversions — LSMW, BDC, LTMC (Migration Cockpit), and custom data load programs for cutover activities. Enhancements — User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements, and BTE (Business Transaction Events). Forms — SmartForms, SAPScript, and Adobe Forms (Interactive Forms by Adobe). Workflows — standard and custom SAP Business Workflow, including event-driven workflows and Fiori My Inbox integration. Participate in requirements analysis, technical design (HLD/LLD), code reviews, unit testing, and production deployment. Provide L2 production support — analyze incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver fixes within SLA. Document technical designs, code, and operational procedures aligned with delivery standards. Collaborate with functional consultants, BASIS teams, and onshore stakeholders in a global offshore delivery model. Mandatory Skills & Experience 4–8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, with at least one S/4HANA project. Strong expertise across all RICEFW areas — Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows. Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA: CDS Views — annotations, associations, parameters, table functions, and extensions. AMDPs (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) and HANA-optimized code pushdown.
