Job Summary

SAP PS Project Systems / EPPM Enterprise Portfolio & Project Management Lead Consultant

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Solution Design & Transformation: Lead the architecture, end-to-end configuration, and implementation of SAP EPPM modules (PPM, Commercial Project Management-CPM, and Project Systems-PS) for the ECC-to-S/4HANA migration.

 

Structure & Bill of Materials (BOM) Control: Work directly with the Product Option Architecture (POA) team to align WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) with manufacturing BOMs and customer-ordered tool configurations.

 

Financial Process Engineering: Own future-state engineering for project costing, R&D cost-object controlling, capitalization of assets (AUC), and budget tracking in a manufacturing finance environment.

 

Cross-Functional Integration: Architect and govern seamless integrations across SAP EPPM, FICO (Universal Journal, Asset Accounting), Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Sales and Distribution (SD).

 

Data Migration & Go-Live Readiness: Drive the project data migration strategy, ensuring historical financial information, active project configurations, and actual costs match regulatory compliance standards.

 

System Integration Testing (SIT): Design comprehensive SIT test scripts, lead cross-functional execution cycles, and drive defect resolution across integrated workstreams (FICO, MM, PP, SD) to validate the end-to-end rollout solution.

 

IDoc & Interface Governance: Architect, monitor, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces (such as Project/WBS distribution and material master synchronization) between SAP S/4HANA and external product lifecycle management (PLM) or legacy tools.

 

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP implementation and rollout environments, with at least 5+ years dedicated specifically to S/4HANA or cloud transformation projects.

Industry Knowledge: Deep experience working inside semiconductors, high-tech capital equipment, or heavy manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

Domain Expertise: Advanced configuration skills in SAP Project System (PS) (WBS, Networks, Costing/Settlement) and SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) (Portfolio Structure, Phase/Gate templates).

Order Type Customizing: Configuring settlement profiles, budget profiles, planning profiles, and number ranges for both statistical and real Internal Orders.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

2. To bridge the gap between client needs and business goals by gathering requirements, crafting innovative solutions with deep domain/technology expertise, and driving successful implementations that propel strategic initiatives.
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance /compliance measures.
5. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated
6. To submit Whitepapers, participate in industry forums and file Patents

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
