Job Summary

The Senior Test Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of embedded software through the design, execution, and optimization of testing strategies in accordance with DO 178B standards. This position involves mentoring team members, advocating for best practices, and driving improvements in testing methodologies to align with the organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1.Design And Implement Comprehensive Test Plans For Complex Embedded Software Features And Modules, Ensuring Compliance With Do 178B Standards And Traceability To Requirements.
2. Utilize Automation Tools And Frameworks, Such As Jenkins And Robot Framework, To Enhance Test Efficiency And Effectiveness, Advocating For Timely Issue Resolution And Adherence To Quality Assurance Best Practices.
3. Identify, Reproduce, And Document Software Defects In Embedded Systems, Following Established Procedures And Utilizing Tools Such As Jira For Effective Tracking And Reporting.
4. Collaborate With Developers To Analyze And Prioritize Defect Resolutions, Actively Participating In Test Reviews And Retrospectives To Foster Continuous Improvement And The Sharing Of Best Practices Across Teams.
5. Stay Current With Industry Trends In Testing Technologies And Methodologies, Contributing To The Development And Maintenance Of Robust Test Automation Frameworks And Libraries, While Implementing Innovative Testing Approaches To Address Emerging Software Complexities.

Skill Requirements

  1. Software engineering experience with 5+ years. 
  2. Responsible for full lifecycle of product development from Architecture and design through integration and test.
  3. Experience in Software Engineering to include experience working various phases of the software development life cycle.
  4. Experience with software development Using C++
  5. Experience with Devops.
  6. Experience in Requirement management tools like Doors and Jama.
  7. Experience with certification aspects of Safety critical systems per DO178 Guidelines in order to successfully certify the products.
  8. Experience in Github.
  9. coordination with system and software team
  10. Ready to learn new technologies(quick learner)

Other Requirements

Candidate has to be a USA citizen or Green card holder and ready to work from customer site at Cedar Rapids IOWA

Maximum Salary (US):  241000
Minimum Salary (US):  118000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
