Job Summary

The AVEVA developer will serve as the technical lead and conduit between business operations and automation technology. The architect will design, implement, and maintain advanced MES and SCADA solutions utilizing the AVEVA software portfolio (System Platform, OMI, MES, Work Tasks) to improve production efficiency, visibility, and operational excellence. This role requires a hands-on expert who can create scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital manufacturing systems

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Configure: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of AVEVA MES (Operations, Performance, Quality modules) and AVEVA System Platform (Application Server, Galaxy, OMI, InTouch). 
• System Integration: Architect solutions that integrate AVEVA MES with PLC/SCADA devices (using OPC, MQTT), historians, and enterprise systems (ERP/SAP/EAM). 
• Model-Driven Design: Develop and standardize equipment templates, graphics, and data structures (Galaxy models) to maximize reuse and reduce maintenance. 
• Workflows: Configure and automate industrial work processes using AVEVA Work Tasks to drive digital transformation of standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

• Develop modern, context-driven industrial interfaces using AVEVA Operations Management Interface (OMI) to maximize operational awareness.
• Create UOC (Unified Operations Center) dashboards, integrating data from MES, SCADA, and IoT.
• Implement responsive layouts for various devices (desktops, tablets, mobile apps). 

• Database Management: Create and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures for MES data management.
• System Testing: Lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) activities.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the final escalation point for system-level issues, optimizing system performance, security, and availability. 
• Standards & Best Practices: Enforce technical best practices in project execution.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and developers.
• Create detailed technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides. 

Skill Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 
• Experience: 5-7 years experience in the design, configuration, and deployment of AVEVA System Platform, OMI, and MES applications. 
• AVEVA Stack: Extensive knowledge of AVEVA System Platform (Application Server), OMI, InTouch, AVEVA Historian, AVEVA MES, and AVEVA Work Tasks. 
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL Server (queries, Stored Procedures), C#, .NET scripting, and networking protocols (OPC-UA, TCP/IP). 
• Industrial Domain: Solid understanding of ISA-95 standards, manufacturing processes (batch/continuous), and MES quality/traceability. 
• Certifications: AVEVA Application Server, InTouch/OMI, or Historian Server certifications are highly desirable. 
• Industry experience – Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Process industries or  Power utilities, Smart cities
