Job Summary

wns PostgreSQL vulnerability remediation across SG\'s PCP estate. Range driven by underlying automation maturity; Phase 2 explicitly targets reducing the upper bound.

Key Responsibilities

Execute PostgreSQL minor-version and security patching cycles. ■ Coordinate with application owners on connection-pool, restart and validation windows. ■ Manage replication (streaming, logical) during patching. ■ Apply extensions and contrib-module updates as part of remediation. ■ Maintain and extend automation playbooks (Ansible / equivalent). ■ Produce evidence and contribute to Phase 2 automation. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ■ PostgreSQL administration (12, 13, 14, 15, 16). ■ Familiarity with streaming and logical replication. ■ Configuration management — Ansible playbooks for PostgreSQL patching. ■ Performance and locking awareness during patching.

Other Requirements

 EDB / EnterpriseDB experience.\\\\r\\\\n■ Patroni / repmgr / pgBackRest exposure.\\\\r\\\\n■ Container-based PostgreSQL (Crunchy, Zalando) familiarity.\\\\r\\\\nEXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS\\\\r\\\\n■ 4+ years PostgreSQL DBA experience.\\\\r\\\\n■ Certifications: EDB Certified Associate / Professional preferred.\\\\r\\\\nSOFT SKILLS\\\\r\\\\n■ Detail-oriented.\\\\r\\\\n■ Effective application-team coordinator.\\\\r\\\\n■ Process discipline.\\\\r\\\\n
