Job Summary
The Lead Engineer will take ownership of complex technical issues, lead root cause analysis, and ensure continuous improvement of retail applications. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with vendors for timely resolution of problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle escalations from L2 and provide advanced troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for fixes and patches.
- Lead release management for major updates and enhancements.
- Perform impact analysis for proposed changes.
- Implement performance tuning and preventive maintenance.
- Mentor L2 engineers and review technical solutions.
- Drive automation for recurring tasks and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
- Xstore POS customization and integration.
- XOCS configuration and deployment.
- SIOCS workflows and integrations.
- MFCS merchandising operations and API integration.
- Architecture, security, and operations.
Skill Requirements
- Deep knowledge of POS systems and Oracle Retail applications.
- Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and middleware technologies.
- Ability to analyze logs, debug code, and optimize performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Other Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in application support and development.
- Experience with ITIL and DevOps practices.
