Job Summary
Processes day-to-day transactions for clients using invoice financing (invoice discounting) facilities, where clients raise funds against unpaid customer invoices. Reconciles client accounts, processes payment requests, and resolves client and third-party queries within agreed timelines
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile client sales ledgers against submitted invoices and debtor payments and keep client account records accurate and up to date.
- Process client drawdown/payment requests and post approved payments to the correct accounts.
- Support the supplier early-payment facility — processing payment amendments, adjustments and follow-ups within agreed terms.
- Respond to routine queries from clients, auditors and other banks about account balances, exposures and transaction history.
- Update currency exchange rates and process cross-currency transactions and adjustments as required.
- Identify and correct data-entry errors (e.g., incorrect invoice or credit note amounts) in a timely manner.
- Process physical cash/cheque receipts and ensure they are recorded and lodged correctly.
Escalate unresolved queries, discrepancies or delays to the Team Leader
Skill Requirements
- Experience in banking operations, trade finance, accounts receivable/reconciliation, or a similar transaction-processing role.
- Good numerical ability and comfort working with client account statements and ledgers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transaction types within deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and comfort using web-based/internal software applications.
- Clear written communication skills for handling client and third-party queries.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or a related field (preferred
