Job Summary

10+ Years Overall Experience with 5+ Years in SAP Project Management

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, migration, and support projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering SAP programs within scope, budget, quality, and timelines while managing stakeholders, risks, resources, and customer expectations.

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Lead SAP implementation, transformation, migration, rollout, and AMS projects.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Establish project governance, reporting cadence, and communication plans.
  • Manage project lifecycle using SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational and customer governance processes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, SAP consultants, vendors, and leadership.
  • Conduct steering committee meetings and executive status reviews.
  • Manage customer expectations and drive issue resolution.

Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource models, and budget forecasts.
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Ensure timely execution of project deliverables.

Financial Management

  • Manage project budgets, revenue forecasts, utilization, and profitability.
  • Monitor project financials, invoices, burn rates, and margin targets.
  • Support contract management and change request processes.

Resource Management

  • Plan and allocate SAP functional and technical resources.
  • Monitor resource utilization and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate with delivery managers and competency teams.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
  • Escalate critical issues and drive resolution.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and quality standards.
  • Review deliverables, solution designs, test plans, and deployment strategies.
  • Oversee SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare activities.

Change Management

  • Support organizational change management activities.
  • Drive user adoption, training, and communication plans.
  • Manage transition to support organizations post-go-live.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or SAP certifications preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years of IT/SAP experience.
  • Experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation programs.
  • Experience handling global delivery teams (Onsite-Offshore model).
  • Exposure to manufacturing, retail, utilities, healthcare, BFSI, or telecom domains.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $1M+ budgets.
