Senior Project Manager - Scrum Master

Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects while also serving as the Scrum Master, specializing in Project Management Change Management and Agile Methodology. The primary responsibilities include ensuring successful project delivery, effective change management, and adherence to agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Execution

  • Lead all Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Ensure sprint readiness, backlog quality, and delivery discipline
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers

ADO Ownership

  • Fully own and manage ADO boards and sprint configuration
  • Maintain backlog hygiene (user stories, tasks, defects)
  • Ensure adherence to standard ADO ways of working as well as MR One Essentials

Reporting & Metrics (Critical)

  • Deliver weekly and sprint-level reporting, including:
    • Sprint velocity and trend analysis
    • Burn-down / burn-up metrics
    • Commitment vs delivery tracking
  • Provide structured velocity and delivery reports for leadership
  • Highlight risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
  • Leverage ADO dashboards / reporting tools

Skill Requirements

  • 6+ years as Scrum Master / Agile PM / Delivery Manager
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Proven experience managing Agile delivery for technology or data programs
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Sprint planning and estimation
    • Velocity tracking and forecasting
    • Agile delivery metrics
  • Experience working with offshore/onshore distributed teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Consistent, reliable velocity and delivery reporting
  • Strong control of ADO boards and sprint execution
  • Improved predictability of sprint outcomes
  • Proactive risk identification and escalation
  • Offshore resource
  • Must provide overlap with US EST hours
  • Ability to independently drive execution within a fast-paced program
  • Provide clear, concise, and proactive updates to stakeholders
  • Effectively coordinate across onshore/offshore teams
  • Translate technical progress into business-relevant insights
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and timelines
  • Drive alignment across business, engineering, and data science teams
  • Support program-level delivery tracking and governance

 

Preferred

  • Experience in AI/ML or data platform programs
  • Exposure to dashboard-based reporting (e.g., Power BI)
  • Familiarity with enterprise delivery governance
