Position Summary

We are seeking a distinguished SAP MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Consultant with deep expertise in Planning to join our organization. The successful candidate will leverage extensive industry experience to optimize maintenance processes, drive effective planning and execution of MRO activities, and deliver innovative SAP solutions. This senior role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, detailed business analysis, and the implementation of best-in-class SAP MRO planning frameworks to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze complex business requirements to architect robust SAP MRO planning solutions tailored to client needs.
• Configure, test, and deploy SAP MRO modules with a focus on advanced planning and scheduling of maintenance operations.
• Design and implement strategic maintenance programs, preventive maintenance schedules, and comprehensive asset management processes within the SAP environment.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and maximum utilization of SAP MRO planning functionalities.
• Provide authoritative guidance on SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MRO planning best practices, championing operational improvements and process optimization.
• Lead and facilitate workshops, training programs, and user acceptance testing to ensure stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer.
• Oversee data migration, system enhancements, and post-implementation support activities related to SAP MRO deployments.
• Identify, monitor, and resolve planning-related issues, consistently driving process improvements and ensuring business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a closely related discipline is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of hands-on SAP MRO or Plant Maintenance consulting experience, with demonstrated expertise in planning and scheduling.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), and associated modules.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
• Expertise in business process mapping, solution architecture, and SAP system configuration.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate both independently and within collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
• Relevant SAP certifications are considered an asset.

Preferred Skills

• Strong background in industries such as manufacturing, utilities, or oil & gas.
• Familiarity with integration points involving SAP modules such as MM, QM, FI/CO.
• Experience in project management and/or Agile methodologies.
• Outstanding documentation abilities and experience delivering effective training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

1. To oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to coding standards , implementation of best practices and perform Value creation and KM activities.
2. To ensure process improvement and compliance| and participate in technical design discussion and to review technical documents.
3. Responsible for shaping the overall project strategy working closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and keeping track of schedule to ensure on time delivery as per the defined quality standards.
4. To work closely with the development team, On-site Engineers to understand technical requirements and work with them to address and resolve technical issues.
5. Identify & flag potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality, develop mitigation strategies / contingency plans to address risks and provide regular project updates to key stakeholders.
