Job Summary

The Team Lead – Banking Domain is responsible for managing a team handling development team and service delivery processes. The role ensures operational excellence, adherence to SLAs, compliance with banking regulations, team productivity, and continuous process improvement while acting as a key liaison between management, clients, and the team

Key Responsibilities

Team & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of associates handling banking processes.
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor workload to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
  • Identify training needs and support skill development initiatives.
  • Handle escalations, grievances, and team engagement activities.

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Monitor daily deliveries  to meet SLA, TAT, quality, and annual targets.
  • Review process metrics and dashboards; take corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to management and stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, internal policies, and client guidelines.
  • Drive quality initiatives.

 

 

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for process-related client communications and requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on performance, risks, and improvement plans.
  • Support transition, migration, or process changes as required.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and efficiency gains.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document SOPs, process changes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and BFSI processes
  • Knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, quality frameworks, and compliance standards
  • Experience with process documentation and reporting

Leadership & Behavioral Skills

  • Proven people management and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

Technical Skills (Preferred)

  • MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
  • Exposure to workflow tools, dashboards, or automation platforms
  • Power Apps and Copilot Studio

Knowledge of Power BI  and Power Automate

Skill Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in Banking / BFSI operations
  • 1–3 years in a Team Lead or supervisory role preferred
