Job Summary

The Senior Technical Lead in Web Development focuses on leading and guiding the team in the development of web applications using JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js. The role is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of projects, ensuring high-quality code, and driving innovation in web development technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor a team of developers in designing, developing, and implementing web applications using javascript, react.js, and node.js
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
3. Drive best practices in web development, including code reviews, performance optimization, and scalability
4. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development to enhance team capabilities and project outcomes
5. Troubleshoot technical issues, provide solutions, and support continuous improvement of web applications
6. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and overall project goals

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in javascript, with a strong understanding of react.js and node.js frameworks
2. Experience in leading and managing a team of developers in web application development projects
3. Knowledge of web development best practices, design patterns, and software architecture principles
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions
5. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams, stakeholders, and clients
6. Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet project deadlines effectively

Team lead for Home Again web applications, having extensive knowledge of Web development in relevant technologies to lead the offshore development team:

  • Technically lead the team to support & enhancement for HomeAgain web portals. 
  • Ownership of release planning: coordinate schedules, prioritize features and fixes based on business value and technical risk, and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
  • Technical debt remediation: assess, prioritize, and drive refactors and upgrades across four distinct web applications to improve stability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Compliance and payments oversight: continuously monitor compliance-related issues and payment-processing reports, escalate and resolve failures quickly to minimize customer impact.
  • Operational ticket management: triage and manage non-code operational tickets (configuration, content, process) to ensure timely resolution.
  • Agile participation: represent the team in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews; ensure deliverables match acceptance criteria.
  • Solution design: leverage ecommerce domain knowledge to propose pragmatic, scalable enhancements that balance user experience and engineering effort.
  • Quality assurance: perform code reviews, enforce best practices and standards, and ensure every change is accompanied by clear documentation and deployment notes.
  • AI adoption and productivity: be an enthusiastic proponent of agentic AI (GitHub Copilot); mentor the team on effective usage to increase throughput and code quality.
  • Collaboration and communication: work closely with Business, QA, and Architecture teams, maintain clear stakeholder communication, and report status and risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent stakeholder management, and experience delivering at enterprise scale.
