AI/ML & Gen AI Program Delivery

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a strong track record of leading complex, large-scale technology programs, including significant experience delivering AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep project and program management expertise with hands-on exposure to modern AI-driven solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project and program management for enterprise technology initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI/ML and Generative AI / Agentic AI projects, from use-case discovery, data readiness, and model/POC development through validation, deployment, and scaling into production.
• Own delivery of Agentic AI initiatives, including multi-agent workflow design coordination, tool/API integration planning, and orchestration framework rollouts (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel).
• Coordinate closely with data science, ML engineering, MLOps, and platform teams to manage model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and prompt engineering timelines.
• Drive Agile Project Management practices across teams — acting as Scrum Master/Agile PM where needed, running sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Apply Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid (Agile-Waterfall) frameworks based on project needs, tailoring ceremonies and artifacts to AI/ML delivery cycles.
• Partner with data science, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, KPIs, and success metrics for AI initiatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, resource plans, sprint backlogs, and risk/issue registers.
• Manage AI-specific risks including model bias, data privacy, hallucination/quality issues, compute/cost overruns, and third-party LLM API dependencies.
• Track and report AI project health using metrics such as model accuracy/performance benchmarks, sprint velocity, burndown, and time-to-production.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs, ensuring alignment with overall business, data, and AI strategy.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and stakeholders through clear, concise reporting and demos.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, including those specific to AI/ML model development, data governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Manage vendor, procurement, and third-party relationships, including LLM/API vendors and AI tooling providers.
• Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, agile mindset, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper documentation, governance, model/version tracking, and compliance throughout the AI project lifecycle.

Skill Requirements

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 15+ years of overall experience in Project Management and Program Management, delivering complex technology programs.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically managing AI/ML projects, including exposure to Generative AI (Gen AI) and Agentic AI initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams across data science, engineering, and business functions.
• Strong hands-on experience in Agile Project Management — running Scrum/Kanban/SAFe ceremonies, managing sprint backlogs, velocity tracking, and iterative delivery for both traditional and AI/ML projects.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery frameworks.

Certifications (any one required)

• PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner)

PgMP (Program Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), A-CSM (Advanced Certified Scrum Master), CSP (Certified Scrum Professional)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering — BE or B. Tech only (mandatory).

Preferred Skills

• Deep familiarity with AI/ML project management practices — managing data pipelines, model experimentation cycles, MLOps pipelines, LLMOps, and CI/CD for ML.
• Working knowledge of LLM frameworks and Gen AI tooling (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases such as Pinecone/Weaviate).
• Experience managing Agentic AI initiatives — multi-agent orchestration, tool-calling workflows, and autonomous agent governance.
• Strong grounding in Agile Project Management tools and practices — JIRA/Azure DevOps boards, sprint reporting, velocity and burndown tracking, backlog prioritization.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, data privacy, and governance considerations in AI project delivery.
• Ability to translate AI/ML technical concepts into business-friendly project plans, timelines, and risk assessments.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps).
