About HCLTech Oracle Practice
HCLTech is a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for APAC Oracle Implementation Services and a global leader in IT services. In ANZ, we are scaling rapidly across Public Sector, Higher Education, BFSI, Utilities and Enterprise sectors.
Role Purpose
Serve as the senior solutions and pre-sales lead for the ANZ Oracle practice — shaping, designing and winning strategic Oracle pursuits across Fusion Cloud (ERP, EPM, HCM), OCI, Exadata/ExaDB, Autonomous DB, PeopleSoft modernisation and Managed Services. Partner directly with the Senior Regional Sales Director to convert Oracle co-sell momentum into signed, deliverable, profitable business.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Bid Ownership
- Lead pre-sales for RFPs, RFIs and proactive proposals; own compliance matrices, fit/gap analyses, RACI, resource pyramids, effort estimates and executive summaries.
- Guarantee submission-grade quality — every response is technically airtight, commercially competitive and factually accurate on credentials.
- Chair internal solution review boards and win-strategy sessions.
Oracle Co-Sell
- Partner daily with Oracle Australia's Apps AEs, Tech AEs, Solution Engineers and Industry SMEs to co-create technical solutions.
- Drive joint pipeline generation and pursuit acceleration with Oracle field.
- Contribute to accelerators, IP, credentials, case studies and capability decks.
- Mentor and technically collaborate with offshore Oracle pre-sales pods servicing ANZ.
- Curate the ANZ Oracle solution catalogue and reference architecture library.
Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end Oracle Fusion + OCI architectures — Redwood UX, OIC integrations, FDI analytics, GenAI extensions, sovereign cloud, data-residency patterns.
- Author solution blueprints, reference architectures and technology recommendations for ANZ pursuits.
- Support architecture governance across bid, transition and early delivery phases.
Commercial Modelling
- Build TCO, BOM and commercial models; multi-cloud and Exadata deployment scenarios; AMS pricing.
- Define effort estimates, resource structures and delivery org charts for large programs.
Client Engagement
- Run discovery workshops, solution demos, architecture deep-dives and value-realisation sessions.
- Present to Chief Architects, Heads of Apps, Heads of Cloud, Program Directors, CIOs and CFOs as required.
- Act as the trusted pre-sales advisor throughout the deal cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Skills & Experience
- 15-17 years in Oracle pre-sales, solution architecture or consulting — from a leading global Oracle system integrator or Oracle Consulting.
- Deep functional depth in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP + EPM (mandatory); HCM Cloud, SCM Cloud desirable.
- Strong technical depth in OCI — Exadata Cloud Service, ExaDB-D, BaseDB VM RAC, Autonomous DB, OIC, FDI, VBCS, Data Intelligence Platform.
- Proven bid leadership — has personally shaped and won RFP responses worth $5M+ TCV.
- Commercial fluency — TCO / BOM construction, licensing models, AMS pricing, effort estimation for large programs.
- Public Sector or Higher Education industry experience strongly preferred; Utilities / BFSI a bonus.
- Established relationships with Oracle Australia field (Apps and Tech).
- Submission-grade written English and executive-quality presentation skills.
Skill Requirements
Nice to Have
- PeopleSoft Campus, E-Business Suite or Apps Unlimited modernisation experience.
- Oracle Utilities suite (CC&B / C2M / CX4U) exposure.
- Experience responding to ANZ Government panel RFPs (DTA, buy.nsw, VendorPanel, ICT Services Panel).
- Oracle certifications — OCI Architect Professional, Fusion Apps Cloud Certified Implementation Professional.
