Job Description: FP&A Senior Analyst

Role Overview

The FP&A Senior Analyst plays a key role in financial planning, analysis, and strategic support. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights, driving forecasting accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to improve financial performance and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Develop and maintain financial models for planning and projections
  • Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with actionable insights

2. Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue, cost, margins, and profitability
  • Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance

3. Business Partnering

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, HR)
  • Provide financial guidance and support to business stakeholders
  • Translate complex financial data into clear business insights

4. Strategic Support

  • Support strategic planning and business initiatives
  • Perform scenario analysis, forecasting, and sensitivity modeling
  • Evaluate business cases, investments, and cost optimization initiatives

5. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Drive enhancements in reporting processes and financial models
  • Automate reports using Excel, Power BI, or other tools
  • Improve data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency

6. Governance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and internal controls
  • Support audits and ensure integrity of financial data
  • Maintain documentation of financial processes

Skill Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • MBA / CA / CMA / CFA preferred

Experience

  • 4–8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
  • Experience in handling end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, macros preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
