Senior Support Engineer - IT Operations

Job Summary

Mainframe support  senior  is responsible highlevel technical support in  mainframe systems applications ,resolving complex issues , implementing inprovements 
This role act as a bridge between junior team memberber and team lead, ensuring smooth operations 
Provide the help to freshers and train them for batch application and Abend solving  

Key Responsibilities

1.Monitor batch schedules (CA-7/TWS/Control-M), job abends, spools (JES2/3), and SLA adherence.
2.Provide the expert level support for mainframe batch cycle processing 
3.Analyze incidents and defects, perform code-level fixes in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
4.Troubleshoot and resolve the complex issues occurred in batch cycle
5.Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance 
6.Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations

Mandatory Skill competency :
jcl :- Intermediate   
cobol :-Advanced  
db2 :- Intermediate 
cics :- Intermediate  
probelm solving :- Advanced  
communication skills :- Intermediate 
incident management :-Intermediate 

Other Requirements

1. Itil Foundation Certification Is Recommended But Not Mandatory.
2. Optional Certifications In Relevant Product Support Technologies Are Valuable For This Role.
