Job Summary

A cloud platform engineer builds and operates internal developer platforms, automates cloud infrastructure, and creates self-service tools on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Their core goal is to reduce technical friction, streamline software delivery, and establish reliable "golden paths" for engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
    • Infrastructure Provisioning: Set up scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud resources (compute, storage, networking).
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and manage repeatable definitions using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
    • Platform Automation: Build CI/CD pipelines and internal developer portals to simplify deployments.
    • Security & Governance: Enforce compliance guardrails, identity and access management (IAM), and network security policies.
    • System Reliability & Monitoring: Monitor system performance, configure logs, and troubleshoot infrastructure bottlenecks.
