Job Description: Datadog AIOps Support Engineer
Role Summary
We are looking for a Datadog AIOps Support Engineer to support monitoring and production operations for a retail customer. The role will focus on identifying incidents, analyzing system performance, resolving issues, and improving monitoring across retail applications and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor applications, infrastructure, APIs, databases, and cloud services using Datadog.
- Create and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors, alerts, and service maps.
- Analyze logs, metrics, traces, and alerts to troubleshoot incidents.
- Support e-commerce, point-of-sale, inventory, order-management, and supply-chain systems.
- Reduce alert noise through alert tuning and event correlation.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change-management activities.
- Support major incidents and coordinate with application and infrastructure teams.
- Create runbooks and automate repetitive support activities.
- Prepare incident reports and root-cause analysis documents.
- Provide rotational on-call support when required.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in production support, monitoring, DevOps, or AIOps.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog.
- Knowledge of Datadog APM, logs, infrastructure monitoring, dashboards, and alerts.
- Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of Linux, networking, APIs, and databases.
- Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
- Experience with incident and problem management.
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail or e-commerce environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Jira, or similar tools.
- ITIL certification.
- Datadog certification.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Work Arrangement
Full-time role with possible rotational shifts and on-call support.
