Job Description Role: Senior Business Operations Analyst – Individual Products Experience: 5–8 Years Level: Senior / Experienced Professional Role Summary This role will lead operational execution and governance across the policy lifecycle for Individual Insurance Products, including underwriting support, servicing, and claims coordination. The role demands strong process ownership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement focus to ensure SLA adherence, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in Insurance/BFSI operations, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership & Delivery Own end-to-end lifecycle management of Individual Insurance Products (application, issuance, endorsements, renewals, claims support) Ensure SLA/KPI adherence and drive productivity, quality, and TAT improvements Act as primary escalation point for complex operational issues and customer cases Provide decision support for underwriting through risk insights and data validation reviews Oversee claims intake validation and ensure accurate routing and timely resolution Drive consistent service delivery standards across teams Stakeholder & Team Management Coordinate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Compliance, and Customer Service teams Manage stakeholder communication, reporting, and issue resolution Guide and mentor junior analysts; ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards Support training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer initiatives Process Improvement & Governance Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives Lead automation/digital transformation efforts to improve operational efficiency Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, audit controls, and compliance frameworks Conduct periodic process reviews, audits, and risk assessments Drive standardisation and documentation of best practices Reporting & Analytics Own MIS reporting, dashboards, and performance tracking Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities Present insights and recommendations to leadership Track KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making across operations Required Skills & Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (MBA preferred) Experience 5–8 years of experience in: Insurance operations (Individual Life/Health Products preferred) OR BFSI / financial services operations with exposure to insurance processes Core Skills Strong understanding of insurance lifecycle (policy admin, underwriting, claims) Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, dashboards) Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes
