Job Summary
Own integration and system-level validation for ARM-based SoC platforms — building the automated test framework, hardware-in-the-loop lab and regression strategy that qualify every release across BSP, multimedia, connectivity, AI and update stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the integration and system validation strategy — test plans, entry/exit criteria, coverage mapping and release qualification gates.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks (Python/pytest, LAVA, Robot Framework or equivalent) covering functional, stress, stability, longevity and power-cycle testing.
- Set up and operate hardware-in-the-loop lab infrastructure — device farms, relay-controlled power, serial/JTAG capture, automated flashing and recovery.
- Integrate test execution into CI/CD so every build is automatically flashed, validated and reported.
- Own regression suites and triage — reproduce, isolate and root-cause failures across the whole stack, then route defects with actionable evidence.
- Validate cross-domain scenarios: concurrent camera + video + inference + connectivity workloads under thermal and memory pressure.
- Build result dashboards, quality metrics, flakiness tracking and release readiness reporting for stakeholders.
- Drive test coverage for OTA, secure boot, recovery and field-failure scenarios; mentor engineers on test engineering practice.
Skill Requirements
- 8–10 years in embedded system validation, integration or test automation engineering.
- Strong Python for automation frameworks; ability to read C and debug at platform level.
- Proven ownership of automated test frameworks and CI integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalent) for embedded targets.
- Hands-on lab automation — device flashing, power control, serial console capture, instrument control.
- Systematic defect triage across kernel, drivers, middleware and applications using logs, traces and crash dumps.
- Test design discipline — requirement traceability, coverage analysis, risk-based prioritization.
- Experience validating multi-domain platforms rather than a single feature area.
