Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on Apache Cassandra administration and engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Distributed systems
    • Replication strategies
    • Consistency models
    • Partitioning and sharding concepts
    • Multi-datacenter deployments
  • Experience with:
    • Linux administration
    • Kubernetes/OpenShift (preferred)
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
    • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Java.

Database Skills

  • Data modeling for Cassandra.
  • Query optimization using CQL.
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Backup and recovery management.

DevOps Skills

  • Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Git and source control practices.
