Senior Technical Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Architect to drive the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance frontend solutions for digital platforms. The role requires strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and end-to-end web ecosystem integration.

  • Define and own frontend architecture strategy for enterprise-grade applications
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance UI solutions
  • Lead development using Next.js and modern frontend frameworks, including SSR and middleware capabilities
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration between frontend, backend, and APIs
  • Architect solutions involving CDN, DNS, API Gateway, and cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Drive adoption of best practices in UI/UX, performance optimization, and security
  • Lead troubleshooting of production issues across frontend, API, and infrastructure layers

Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring high-quality code and design standards

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong expertise in Next.js (SSR, routing, middleware)
  • Solid understanding of frontend technologies (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS)(suggested based on role context)
  • Experience with API integration (GraphQL, Apollo, API Gateways)  
  • Deep knowledge of CDN, DNS, and edge architectures (e.g., Akamai, Azure Front Door)  
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (APIM, networking, integration layers)

Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, and network layers

Other Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with micro-frontend architecture(suggested, not explicitly in source)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, observability)(suggested)
  • Exposure to enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, AEM)(aligned to Akzo ecosystem signals)

Experience & Qualification

  • 12+ years of experience in frontend / full-stack development and architecture roles  
  • Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise web applications
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to design resilient, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems
