Role Overview
AkzoNobel is looking for an experienced Azure / Web API Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for defining API strategies, designing enterprise integration patterns, and driving modernization initiatives across web and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Azure PaaS services, API-led architecture, microservices, enterprise integration, security frameworks, and DevOps practices.

Solution & Architecture
Define end-to-end solution architecture for cloud-native applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Design and govern enterprise-grade RESTful APIs and Microservices architectures.
Create scalable, reusable, and secure integration patterns for business applications.
Drive API-first and event-driven architectural approaches across digital initiatives.
Produce architecture blueprints, technical designs, and deployment models.

Implement Azure security best practices.

DevOps & Automation
Enable CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps.

Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational excellence practices.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, development teams, and external partners.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development and integration teams.
Participate in architecture review boards and design governance forums.
