Job Summary
Own the connectivity software stack across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular and time-sensitive Ethernet on ARM-based SoC platforms, including coexistence management across concurrent radios for industrial, enterprise and CPE-class products.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring up, integrate and maintain Wi-Fi (including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 class), Bluetooth/BLE, cellular (4G/5G, including RedCap-class) and Ethernet subsystems.
- Develop and debug connectivity drivers and firmware interfaces — cfg80211/mac80211/nl80211, BlueZ or vendor BT stacks, MBIM/QMI-style modem interfaces, PHY/MAC Ethernet drivers.
- Implement and tune radio coexistence strategies across concurrent Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular operation.
- Enable Time-Sensitive Networking features — IEEE 802.1AS/Qbv/Qav, PTP time sync, traffic shaping and deterministic latency configuration.
- Integrate supplicant, hostapd, network management and provisioning flows including WPA3, enterprise auth and onboarding.
- Characterize and optimize throughput, latency, range, roaming behaviour and connectivity power consumption.
- Debug interoperability and field connectivity issues using sniffers, packet captures, RF test equipment and firmware logs.
- Support regulatory, carrier and interoperability certification activities.
Skill Requirements
- 8–10 years in connectivity / networking software on embedded platforms.
- Strong C on embedded Linux; kernel networking and wireless subsystem familiarity.
- Depth in at least two of: Wi-Fi (802.11 MAC/PHY behaviour, cfg80211/mac80211, hostapd/wpa_supplicant), Bluetooth/BLE stack and profiles, cellular modem integration, Ethernet/TSN.
- Practical experience debugging with Wireshark, wireless sniffers, tcpdump, iperf and RF test setups.
- Understanding of coexistence mechanisms across collocated radios.
- Networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, IPv6, DHCP, routing, NAT, QoS.
- Throughput and connectivity power optimization experience.
Other Requirements
- Wi-Fi 7 features — MLO, 320 MHz, 4K QAM; or Wi-Fi mesh/EasyMesh.
- 5G NR, RedCap or NB-IoT/LTE-M deployment experience.
- TSN in industrial automation contexts; PROFINET, EtherCAT or OPC UA exposure.
- OpenWrt or vendor SDK-based networking distributions.
- Certification experience with Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG or carrier programmes.
