Job Summary
Job Description — Solution Architect – Full Stack (Java Stack)
Employment type: Full-time
Location: Chennai
Experience level: Staff/Principal : 10 - 15 years
Summary
Owns the architecture of an AI-led test-knowledge platform end-to-end and directs its AI-accelerated build on a Java/Spring Boot backend with an Angular frontend. Makes the architecture and scope calls, directs an AI coding assistant to generate against a governed specification, and personally reviews every generated component for correctness, security, and domain fit before it ships. Also owns the API contract between this core platform and the separate Python/Node service that runs the conversational Assistant's agent orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the platform's technical specification; make final architecture, scope, and sequencing decisions
Direct AI-based code generation against the specification — writing precise generation prompts/specs, not hand-writing the bulk of the code
Review 100% of AI-generated code before merge: correctness, security, JPA/entity design, RBAC boundaries, and data-governance rules
Design and own the REST/gRPC contract between the Java core and the separate Assistant service, including auth handoff and error handling across that boundary
Own the data model across the knowledge repository, generation pipeline, and serving layer, including schema evolution
Set up and enforce Java build/quality standards (Maven or Gradle, SonarQube/Checkstyle gates) for AI-generated code specifically — generated code needs the same static-analysis discipline as hand-written code, arguably more
Partner with domain subject-matter owners to ensure generated screens and workflows genuinely reflect domain requirements
Set and monitor engineering-side success metrics (build velocity, defect escape rate, JVM performance under load)
Skill Requirements
Required Qualifications
8+ years in software architecture or senior full-stack engineering, with demonstrated ownership of a platform end-to-end
Proven ability to direct and critically review AI-generated code — a distinct, assessable skill
Strong background in Java + Spring Boot (Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Spring MVC), Angular + TypeScript, and PostgreSQL (including pgvector or similar)
Comfortable with Maven or Gradle, JUnit 5 + Mockito + Testcontainers for integration testing
Working knowledge of JVM tuning — heap/GC sizing, container memory limits, startup/warm-up behavior under containerized deployment
Experience designing and consuming service boundaries (REST/gRPC) between systems in different languages/runtimes — this role does not need to write the Assistant's agent code, but must own the contract it talks through
Experience with RBAC, governance workflows, and versioned data models in an enterprise setting
Track record of technical decision-making under a governed, spec-first development process
Other Requirements
Preferred
Familiarity with Spring AI or LangChain4j (useful context even though the Assistant itself lives outside this stack)
Prior QE/testing-domain exposure
Experience in a regulated-industry context (healthcare, financial services)
Success Metrics
Spec-to-shipped-feature cycle time
Defect/regression rate in AI-generated code post-review
Cross-service contract stability (breaking changes to the Assistant API boundary, post-release)
