Job Summary

Lead Architect / Solution & Architecture Lead Location Paris, France (Client-facing, Hybrid/Onsite) Program Context The client is transforming its digital banking platform to replace the existing solution with a new owned platform delivering premium digital experiences for HNWI clients across Luxembourg and Monaco. The platform includes Mobile (iOS, Android, HarmonyOS), Web, BFF services, API-led integration, security-by-design, and phased migration from legacy. Role Overview The Lead Architect serves as the overall design authority for the SGPB Digital Banking Program and is accountable for defining, governing, and validating the target architecture across customer channels, BFF services, enterprise integrations, security, migration, and operational platforms. The role works closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security teams, Infrastructure teams, and Delivery Leads to establish a scalable, secure, API-first architecture while ensuring successful migration from legacy to the new digital banking ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Architecture Leadership Own the end-to-end target architecture for Mobile, Web, BFF, Integration and Migration streams. Act as Design Authority for all architecture decisions throughout discovery, delivery and Go-Live. Drive architecture governance, technical standards and solution reviews. Define architecture roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives. Lead Architecture Committees with client stakeholders.   Solution Architecture Define domain-driven and API-first architecture principles. Design Mobile BFF and Web BFF architecture. Define service decomposition and microservice boundaries. Establish integration patterns with: Core Banking Platforms CRM IAM/SSO KYC/AML Services Document Management Systems Notification Services Ensure architecture supports future AI-enabled services and digital innovations. Mobile & Digital Channels Drive architecture for React Native Mobile applications. Ensure consistency between Mobile and Web channels through shared business logic and reusable component strategy. Establish frontend architecture standards including: Monorepo strategy Design system governance Dynamic module loading API consumption patterns Performance optimization Accessibility compliance (WCAG) Security & Compliance Ensure Security-by-Design principles are embedded across the platform. Govern: OAuth2 OIDC PSD2 / SCA compliance Zero Trust Architecture Encryption Device Binding Certificate Pinning Secure Session Management Support Architecture, Security and Migration governance boards. Integration & Platform Architecture Define Anti-Corruption Layer and integration patterns. Drive REST, SOAP and event-driven integration architecture. Govern Kafka-based asynchronous communication. Define API contracts and enterprise integration standards. Ensure resilience through: Circuit Breakers Caching Monitoring Observability Failover strategies Migration Architecture Define transition architecture. Establish coexistence strategy during migration. Lead rollout and rollback architecture decisions. Validate migration waves and reconciliation controls. Ensure business continuity throughout migration and final cutover. DevSecOps & Operational Excellence Define CI/CD and release architecture. Govern: GitHub Actions GitOps ArgoCD Feature Flags Blue-Green Deployments Canary Releases Ensure operational readiness and production observability. Stakeholder Management Act as primary architecture counterpart for client. Present architecture strategy to executive and governance committees.
