Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) Consultant to design, develop, and support enterprise data integration, data migration, and ETL solutions for SAP transformation programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in SAP BODS, S/4HANA data migration, data conversion, and integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
  • Develop data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading processes.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA migration and data conversion projects.
  • Work with business and functional teams to understand data migration requirements.
  • Build and optimize BODS workflows, data flows, scripts, and reusable components.
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, cleansing, and quality checks.
  • Develop migration objects for master data and transactional data.
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures and optimize performance through partitioning, parallel processing, and database tuning techniques.
  • Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and migration run books.
  • Support SIT, UAT, mock migrations, cutover, and go-live activities.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams across MM, SD, PP, QM, PS, FI/CO, and EWM modules.

Skill Requirements

SAP BODS

  • Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) 4.x and above.
  • Expertise in:
    • Projects
    • Jobs
    • Workflows
    • Data Flows
    • Scripts
    • Data Stores
    • File Formats
    • Batch Processing
    • Management Console

ETL & Data Integration

  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and best practices.
  • Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Expertise in data transformation and cleansing techniques.
  • Knowledge of data quality and data profiling concepts.

Data Migration

  • Experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration project.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
    • LSMW
    • IDOCs
    • Data Conversion and Validation
  • Experience migrating:
    • Customer Master
    • Vendor Master
    • Material Master
    • BOMs
    • Routings
    • Transactional Data

Database Skills

  • Strong SQL / PL-SQL development skills.
  • Experience with SAP HANA database.
  • Knowledge of database tuning and optimization.
