Job Summary

Seeking an Embedded Software Integration Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in LabVIEW, FPGA, Python, and Hardware-Software Integration. The role involves developing and integrating embedded systems, automated test platforms, and real-time control solutions while collaborating closely with hardware, FPGA, firmware, and system engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop LabVIEW/Python based Host Applications for test automation, instrument control, and data acquisition.
  • Design and maintain LabVIEW FPGA solutions for real-time control and signal processing.
  • Develop automation and data analysis tools using Python.
  • Perform hardware-software integration, board bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Integrate embedded systems with DAQs, sensors, instruments, and custom hardware.
  • Implement and support communication interfaces such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
  • Support system verification, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, design reviews, and technical problem-solving.

Skill Requirements

Software

  • 7–10 years of Embedded Software Development and System Integration experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • LabVIEW Application Development
    • LabVIEW FPGA
    • Python Programming
    • LabVIEW Real-Time (RT)
    • Test Automation Frameworks

NI Platforms

  • CompactRIO (cRIO)
  • PXI/PXIe Systems
  • NI DAQ Hardware
  • Instrument Control (SCPI, VISA, GPIB)

Hardware & System Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal Electronics, Data Acquisition Systems
    • Sensors and Actuators, Signal Conditioning
    • FPGA-Based Systems
  • Ability to read and debug:
    • Schematics, PCB Layouts, Timing Diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Multimeters, Protocol Analyzers
  • Experience in:
    • Board Bring-up, Hardware Validation
    • System-Level Debugging, Root Cause Analysis

Communication Protocols

  • Ethernet / TCP-IP, USB, UART / RS232 / RS485, SPI, I2C

Tools

  • Git
  • Azure DevOps or equivalent version control tools

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
