Job Summary

Role : Field Quality and Supplier Quality Engineering

Location : USA

Positions : 1 (8 to 12 years experience)

Work Expectation

  • Perform field failure analysis on parts identified by customer
  • Verify correctness of quality issue
  • Perform RCA on the identified part or related part
  • Find immediate countermeasure to manage line
  • Hands on segregation and measurement of on-hold parts
  • Identify countermeasure for permanent resolution
  • Good understanding of GD&T and associated metrology and measurement techniques
  • Understanding of RCA methods and 7QC tools
  • Hands on experience in metrology and understanding of part manufacturing processes, specifically machining and sheet metal
  • Knowledge on electronic parts qualification and incoming part approval process

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the component cost estimation team in utilizing boothroyd and seer galorath methodologies.
2. Analyze and estimate costs associated with various components in a project to support decision-making and cost optimization.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for accurate cost estimations.
4. Develop and maintain cost estimation models and databases for future reference and analysis.
5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their skills in component cost estimation.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in component cost estimation methodologies, particularly boothroyd and seer galorath.
2. Strong analytical skills to accurately estimate costs and analyze cost data.
3. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and present cost estimation findings.
4. Leadership abilities to lead a team and provide guidance to junior members.
5. Problem-solving skills to identify cost optimization opportunities and drive efficiency in cost estimation processes.

1.Certification in Component Cost Estimation methodologies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
