Job Summary
ASOS is replacing its core finance and supply-chain ERP with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain Management, migrating away from Oracle. Frontier Fashion is a high-visibility, audit-critical programme, and the ASOS-led testing phases cover Functional, Security, End-to-End, Regression, UAT support, Cutover Mocks and Parallel Run alongside the legacy estate.
This role exists to put automation underneath that effort. The volume of regression across GL, AP/AR, Tax, Inventory, Procurement and Sales, repeated through every mock cutover and month-end parallel run, is not sustainable manually. The successful candidate will build the automated regression and integration suites that carry the programme through Go-Live and that ASOS will own and run afterwards.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the automated regression suite across D365 F&O and SCM modules — General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Tax, Inventory, Procurement and Sales — and hand it over as an asset ASOS runs post Go-Live.
- Automate integration testing between D365 and the surrounding estate, including Centric PLM, warehouse and logistics feeds, banking and finance reporting platforms — covering API contracts, file feeds, error handling and replay.
- Build reusable automation frameworks and page/API abstractions suited to D365 F&O, including data-driven test setup, environment configuration and stable handling of D365 UI patterns.
- Integrate automated suites into Azure DevOps pipelines so regression runs on demand, nightly and against every environment refresh, with results published back to the test plan.
- Automate data migration and reconciliation checks, validating financial accuracy to the penny across the Oracle-to-D365 cutover and each month-end parallel run.
- Support cutover mocks with scripted smoke and business-readiness checks that give the programme a fast, repeatable verdict on environment health.
- Write and maintain automated coverage for AI and agentic features in scope for the programme, including deterministic assertions and tolerance-based checks where output varies.
- Raise, triage and track defects in Azure DevOps, take part in joint daily triage with ASOS and partner teams, and work with developers to reproduce and close issues.
- Report automation coverage, pass rates and regression trends to the QA Lead and programme stakeholders, and flag risk early where coverage or environments are the constraint.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and Agile ceremonies, and coach manual testers in the team towards automation-first working.
Skill Requirements
Essential experience
- Five or more years in QA automation or test engineering, with delivery experience on enterprise ERP or finance systems.
- Hands-on automation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or SCM — or comparable depth on SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion or Workday Financials with a clear intent to apply it to D365.
- Strong coding ability in C#, Java or JavaScript/TypeScript, and framework experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright or Cypress alongside a runner such as NUnit, TestNG or JUnit.
- API and integration test automation — REST and OData services, Postman or REST Assured, file-based feeds, negative paths, error handling and message replay.
- Strong SQL and database validation, applied to reconciliation and data-migration checks rather than simple record lookups.
- Azure DevOps test plans, repos, branching and CI/CD pipelines, with automated suites wired into the pipeline rather than run from a laptop.
- Delivery experience across end-to-end, regression and UAT support phases on programme-scale work, and a working knowledge of Agile and Scrum.
- Clear written and verbal communication with finance and supply-chain stakeholders, and the analytical discipline that audit-critical work demands.
Desirable experience
- Retail, fashion or e-commerce ERP exposure, and familiarity with Centric PLM or equivalent product lifecycle platforms.
- Automation of AI or agentic features, including approaches to non-deterministic output.
- Microsoft Power Platform — Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI — and D365 Regression Suite Automation Tool (RSAT) or Task Recorder experience.
- Performance testing exposure using JMeter or similar, and knowledge of the finance domain including month-end close.
- ISTQB certification, or a Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification.
