Job Summary

The Senior Technical Lead for Embedded Linux is responsible for managing technology in complex projects, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutions. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the capabilities of the development team while driving quality, performance, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Technical Guidance And Mentorship To A Team Of Developers In Embedded Linux, Enhancing Their Skills In Kernel Configuration, Driver Development, And System Optimization.
2. Conduct Thorough Code Reviews And Establish Quality Assurance Processes Using Yocto And U-Boot To Ensure Adherence To Best Practices And Coding Standards, While Also Optimizing Software Performance.
3. Ensure Process Compliance In The Assigned Module By Participating In Technical Discussions And Feasibility Studies, Evaluating Technical Alternatives, And Assessing Architectural Best Practices And Associated Risks.
4. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Define Project Scope, Objectives, And Deliverables, And Prepare Comprehensive Status Reports That Minimize Risk Exposure And Facilitate The Closure Of Escalations.

Skill Requirements

1. In-Depth Knowledge Of Embedded Linux, Including Kernel Development, Device Drivers, And System-Level Debugging.
2. Proficiency In Using Yocto For Building Custom Linux Distributions Tailored For Specific Hardware.
3. Solid Experience With Bootloaders, Particularly U-Boot, For Embedded Systems.
4. Advanced Proficiency In Bsp Board Bring-Up Processes And Techniques To Interface With Diverse Hardware Components.
5. Strong Understanding Of Software Development Methodologies And Agile Practices.

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Yocto Project Certified Developer, Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (Lfce).

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
