Job Summary

Murex Technical Lead - Integration

Lead the design and delivery of Murex integration solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity between Murex and enterprise systems. The role requires strong Java development skills, deep understanding of integration architecture, and expertise in Murex messaging frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Murex integration architecture
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between Murex and external systems
  • Build and support integrations using MxML, APIs, and messaging frameworks
  • Develop robust Java-based integration components and services
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of integrations
  • Collaborate with business teams (FO, Risk, Finance) for requirements
  • Manage end-to-end integration lifecycle (design → deploy → support)
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide L3 support
  • Support SIT/UAT, releases, and environment management

Skill Requirements

Murex Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge of Murex MX.3 platform
  • Experience in integration frameworks and architecture
  • Hands-on experience in MxML Exchange
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and system interactions

 

Programming & Integration Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java (mandatory)
  • Experience with microservices / service-oriented architecture
  • Strong knowledge of SQL / Oracle databases
  • Unix/Linux working knowledge

 

Messaging & Middleware

  • Experience with JMS, Kafka, MQ, or similar messaging systems
  • API-based integration (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience in event-driven architecture preferred

 

Domain Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives)
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes
  • Understanding of risk and data flows between systems

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Ability to lead integration workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work in fast-paced delivery environments

Other Requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in large-scale Murex implementation programs
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) – preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Basel III, FRTB)

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Finance, or related field
  • Murex certifications (preferred)
  • Proven experience in tier-1 global banking environment
