Job Summary

Broadridge is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Front-End / UI) to join a focused, energetic and dedicated team developing our ground-breaking FinTech SaaS wealth products running in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Experience developing and delivering software products using Amazon Web Services (AWS) is highly desirable.

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Software Engineer with strong expertise in Angular and/or ReactJS to help design, build and enhance modern, responsive user interfaces for our Cloud-hosted FinTech SaaS platform. The successful candidate will be expected to become productive quickly and contribute immediately to the delivery of strategic product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implementation of new functionality for use in multi-tier, web-based products for use by banks and other Financial Institutions. Work primarily within the Front-End/UI layer while collaborating closely with Back-End Engineers, Product Managers and UX stakeholders. Develop modern web applications using Angular and/or ReactJS, with integration to Java and Python-based backend services through REST APIs. Design and develop reusable, responsive UI components. Collaborate with UX designers to deliver intuitive user experiences. Participate in code reviews and promote Front-End engineering best practices. Optimise application performance, accessibility and usability. Work with Amazon Web Services and cloud technologies including Docker, Nomad and Terraform. Commitment to producing high quality, highly performant and robust software within agreed time estimates and to agreed quality. Contribute to estimation exercises that feed into product roadmap planning. Participate in changes, and continuous improvements, to existing software development, testing and deployment processes. Troubleshooting Development and Production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms as necessary. Regularly update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations etc. Demonstrate technical ownership of assigned features while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering standards

Skill Requirements

  • 4-8 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3-6 years developing enterprise web applications using Angular and/or ReactJS.
  • Strong commercial experience developing Enterprise-grade Front-End applications using Angular and/or ReactJS.
  • Experience building responsive, Component-based web applications.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience integrating Front-End applications with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience writing automated Front-End tests using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience using Git and collaborative development workflows (GitHub).
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud services and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to show flexibility and reach compromise where appropriate,
  • Proven experience working with Agile SDLC methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban),
  • Willingness to take ownership for assigned aspects of the project(s) and proven ability to work constructively in a shared team environment,
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

 

Desirable (Good to Have)

 

  • Experience in banking and associated financial industries
  • Familiarity with Linux and system engineering concepts
  • Experience with modern state management approaches (e.g. Redux, NgRx, React Context API or similar).
