Job Summary
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in .NET/C#, TypeScript, and Windows desktop application development to support Volvo Cars' One Engine Software Download & Installation team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining software update solutions that enable over-the-air (OTA), cable, and Wi-Fi based software downloads and installations across Volvo vehicles.

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET/C# and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance Windows desktop applications using WPF and/or WinUI 3.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to production deployment.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and quality improvements.
- Work within Agile teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support CI/CD implementation and cloud-based deployments.
Skill Requirements
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in .NET/C# development.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Solid experience in Windows desktop application development (WPF).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and cloud services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices.
- Knowledge of MongoDB and/or Cosmos DB.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Other Requirements
Good-to-Have Skills
- Frontend development experience using React or Angular.
- Experience with WinUI 3.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
- Experience in network programming (TCP/UDP).
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as:
- DoIP
- UDS
- CAN
- CAN-FD
- Experience with direct customer/stakeholder interactions.
- Automotive industry experience, preferably within connected car or software update domains.
