Job Description: SAP SuccessFactors Career & Talent Development Consultant
Role Title: SAP SuccessFactors C&TD Functional Consultant
About the Role
We are looking for a specialized SAP SuccessFactors consultant to support the implementation and expansion of our Career & Talent Development (C&TD) suite. This is not a standard SuccessFactors deployment — it involves a coherent suite expansion covering Succession Planning, the Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH), and data integrations with AFAS as the HR source system. The consultant must bring deep functional expertise across these interconnected components and an ability to work within an existing SuccessFactors landscape that already includes the Learning module. The combination of C&TD, Succession, TIH, AFAS data integrations, and an existing Learning landscape demands a consultant who understands how these components interact as a suite, not in isolation
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on SAP SuccessFactors implementation experience
• Demonstrable expertise in Career & Talent Development (C&TD) and Succession Planning modules
• Proven working knowledge of the Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) — configuration, skills framework setup, and integration with other modules
• Experience integrating SuccessFactors with third-party HR systems (AFAS experience is a strong plus)
• Familiarity with the SuccessFactors Learning module and its role in development intervention chains
• Strong understanding of SAP SuccessFactors data model and integration patterns (BTP, CPI, or middleware-based)
• SAP SuccessFactors certification in relevant modules preferred
Scope of Work
The engagement covers the following functional areas:
• Succession Planning — key positions, talent pools, 9-box grid, and successor readiness
• Career & Talent Development (C&TD) — including the formally embedded Succession & Development component
• Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) — as the central skills and attributes framework underpinning succession and learning
• Data Integration — bi-directional data streams between SuccessFactors and AFAS (HR base administration)
• Learning Integration — aligning TIH-driven development interventions with the existing Learning module
• Future Readiness — awareness of roadmap items including Career Marketplace / Opportunity Marketplace and potential Performance & Goals integration
