Job Summary

Job Description: Cognos TM1 Developer (Finance / FP&A Focus)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cognos TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics) Developer with strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of TM1 and a solid understanding of finance processes (P&L, FP&A, forecasting cycles) to support enterprise-level planning and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong experience in requirement analysis, solution design, development, and testing phases.
  • Hands-on expertise in developing and understanding complex TurboIntegrator (TI) processes.
  • Develop cube views, dashboards, and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) reports
  • Ensure model scalability, performance optimization, and data integrity
  • Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting MDX queries.
  • Experience in designing and interpreting complex TM1 business rules.
  • Skilled in building TM1 Web reports and input forms, with hands-on experience resolving issues in Active Forms.
  • Experience in developing Café reports, along with strong troubleshooting skills for Café MDX-related issues.
  • Proven experience in creating Workspace reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple integration teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Command Center jobs.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross-functional integration teams to resolve integration challenges.
  • Experience in production support with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in migrations and preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Experience working with Planning Analytics version 2.1.12 or higher.
  • Integrate data from enterprise systems (SAP S4HANA) into TM1
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using TurboIntegrator or external tools (Informatica CDI-PC/IDMC)
  • Ensure data consistency across multiple systems and reporting layers
  • Exposure to Cognos Analytics is a plus.

  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to support
    • P&L planning and analysis
    • Budgeting and forecasting cycles
    • Variance analysis and management reporting
  • Ensure accurate financial data validation and reconciliation across systems
  • Support financial consolidation and reporting processes
