Job Summary
SAP Frontend Developer (UI5/Fiori) to join India‑based SAP Test Automation & Process Innovation team.
This role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining SAP UI5/Fiori applications, ensuring consistent and intuitive user experience, enabling seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP services, and contributing to continuous improvement of global SAP frontend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain SAP UI5/Fiori applications
- Implement enhancements, custom UI elements, extensions and new Fiori apps
- Develop responsive UI components using SAPUI5, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
- Integrate Fiori/UI5 apps with OData services in collaboration with backend teams
- Provide L3 AMS support, incident resolution and defect fixing for UI5/Fiori applications
- Support development and maintenance of SAP Gateway and Fiori Launchpad configurations
- Create functional and technical specifications, documentation and test scripts
- Collaborate with ABAP/Fiori developers, architects and SAP module consultants
- Mentor junior developers and act as a technical SME for backend and form technologies
- Contribute to agile and classical AMS project activities
- Coordinate external service providers for UI5/Fiori development tasks
- Ensure compliance with validation, audit and regulatory requirements (CSV/CSA)
Skill Requirements
- > 5 years of experience in frontend development, incl. > 5 years of experience with SAP Fiori development
- Strong knowledge of SAPUI5 (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML & JSON)
- Experience with SAP Web IDE
- Experience in Fiori Design patterns, expertise in UI Theme designer
- Understanding of the UI principles
- Good analytical and debugging skills for design, creation and testing of programs
- Experience in Fiori Launchpad configuration
- Experience working in validated (GxP) SAP environments, including documentation and change control
- Ability to create functional and technical specifications and test documentation
- Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes based on ITIL
- Strong collaboration skills with application teams and service providers
- Proactive, independent working style with high attention to security and compliance
- Very good written and spoken English skills; German language skills are an advantage
- Experience in agile and classical project delivery models
- Team player with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
Ability to quickly understand complex processes and issues, with strong communication skills
