Job Summary
Workday Absence Consultant
Essential Skills / Experience:
- 5–10 years of overall IT experience with minimum 3–7 years in Workday HCM, with strong focus on Absence & Time-Off module
- Workday certification in Absence module
- Hands-on experience in:
- Configuration of Time Off Types, Plans, Leave of Absence, Accruals, and Eligibility Rules
- Absence frameworks including absence tables, balances, and schedule-based configurations
- Strong understanding of:
- Business Process Framework (BPF) and security configuration
- Integration touchpoints with Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits
- Experience working across full lifecycle implementations (Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Support)
- Exposure to global absence implementations / multi-country rollouts
- Ability to create functional design documents, solution design, and configuration workbooks
- Hands-on experience supporting:
- UAT cycles, defect resolution, and post-go-live support
Strong stakeholder communication and ability to interact with HR, Payroll, and business users
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
