Job Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in API development, system integrations, middleware technologies, cloud integration platforms, and microservices architecture. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, development teams, and external vendors to enable secure, scalable, and reliable integrations across enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Solution Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration solutions between internal and external systems.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and event-driven integrations.
  • Develop reusable integration components and frameworks.
  • Define and implement integration patterns for synchronous and asynchronous communication.

API Management & Middleware

  • Configure and manage API gateways and API management platforms.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, rate limiting, monitoring, logging, and security policies.
  • Develop and support integrations using middleware and cloud integration platforms.
  • Create API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.

Cloud & Platform Integration

  • Develop integrations leveraging cloud-native services and serverless technologies.
  • Integrate SaaS applications, enterprise systems, databases, and third-party platforms.
  • Support hybrid integration architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.

DevOps & Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
  • Automate deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
  • Participate in infrastructure and application release management activities.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security controls, and deployment best practices.

Testing & Support

  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and API validation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions.
  • Support production deployments and critical incident resolution.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, QA teams, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical integration solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, and design discussions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Integration Engineering, API Development, or Middleware Development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP Web Services
    • JSON / XML
    • API Security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML)
    • OpenAPI / Swagger
  • Experience with one or more API Management platforms:
    • Azure API Management
    • Apigee
    • Kong
    • MuleSoft
    • IBM API Connect
  • Strong programming experience in:
    • Java / Spring Boot
    • C# /.NET Core
    • Node.js (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • AWS
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Functions / AWS Lambda
    • Event-driven architectures
    • Message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools:
    • Azure DevOps
    • GitHub Actions
    • Jenkins
  • Experience with Git-based source control systems.

Database Skills

  • SQL Server
  • Oracle
  • PostgreSQL
  • NoSQL databases (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, or Enterprise Digital Transformation projects.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and container platforms.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, App Insights, Dynatrace, ELK, or Grafana.
  • Cloud certification(s) preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
