Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to lead the migration of legacy Oracle-based data warehouse and reporting workloads from our Lithuania local data centre to a centralized on-premises data warehouse infrastructure. This is a critical initiative requiring deep expertise in legacy system architecture, data pipeline management, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring zero disruption to business operations and regulatory reporting throughout this complex migration.

Lead the architecture and technical design of migrating existing Oracle-based legacy programs from Local Data Warehouse to Central Data Warehouse infrastructure, ensuring all processes remain intact and functional
Design, develop, and implement robust reporting data pipelines that preserve output formats for downstream consumer systems without any format changes or disruptions
Analyze and understand poorly documented legacy Oracle workloads, reverse-engineer business logic, and create comprehensive technical documentation for the migration process
Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are fully maintained throughout migration, coordinating with compliance and risk teams to validate all regulatory outputs remain accurate and timely
Develop migration strategies and execution plans using AWS technologies and tools, leveraging AWS services where appropriate while maintaining on-premises infrastructure
Implement comprehensive data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure complete data integrity during transition from Local to Central Data Warehouse
Manage and minimize business impact through careful planning, phased migration approaches, and extensive testing protocols to ensure zero operational disruption
Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of data pipelines and reporting workloads post-migration
Skill Requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in data warehouse development and design
Deep hands-on experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c or later), including schema design, SQL query optimization, and PL/SQL programming
Proven experience working with legacy systems and poorly documented codebases
Strong expertise in ETL/ELT design, implementation, and data pipeline development
Demonstrated experience in regulatory reporting systems and data compliance requirements
Solid understanding of data migration methodologies, validation techniques, and reconciliation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS cloud services and AWS database migration tools (AWS DMS, AWS DataPipeline, etc.)
Familiarity with Oracle to centralized data warehouse migration projects
Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management
Knowledge of financial or regulatory reporting systems (e.g., IFRS, Basel, Solvency II)
Experience with data quality tools and frameworks for validation and reconciliation
Technical Skills Required
SQL and PL/SQL programming and optimization
ETL/ELT tools and platforms (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, or equivalent)
Version control systems (Git, SVN)
Data validation and quality assurance tools
Linux/Unix shell scripting
Python or Java for data processing and automation
