Job Summary

1. 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong hands-on delivery ownership.
2. Strong expertise in Node.js + TypeScript, with NestJs (preferred), JavaScript and Express/Factify fundamentals.
3. Solid understanding of:
4. REST API design, versioning, and API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
5. Asynchronous programming, queues/events (Kafka exposure preferred)
6. Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling (Azure SQL / CosmosDB exposure is a plus)
7. Strong testing discipline: unit/integration testing, mocking strategies, CI quality gates. • Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
8. Production-grade troubleshooting skills and a strong quality mindset.
9. Experience with Azure cloud services and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS). • Experience building event-driven microservices and distributed systems.
10. Knowledge of performance tuning, caching patterns, and resiliency (circuit breakers, retries, idempotency).
11. Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and large-scale digital ecosystems.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong object-oriented design and development practices
13. Experience working with scalable, high-performance mobile applications
14. Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments is an added advantage
15. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Key Responsibilities

1. You will design and develop high quality backend services and APIs using NestJS (TypeScript/Node.js) as part of a fast paced, high performing engineering team.
2. Build scalable and maintainable service layers leveraging NestJS’ modular architecture (modules, controllers, providers) and dependency injection best practices.
3. Apply architectural best practices including Clean Architecture, layered design, and clear separation of concerns to create maintainable and testable codebases.
4. Work closely with Product Owners, architects, and cross functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and well-defined API contracts. 
5. Take ownership of performance optimization, ensuring services are efficient, scalable, and responsive under real production loads (latency/throughput/concurrency).
6. Perform service profiling and diagnostics (CPU, memory, event-loop latency, DB query performance) to identify and resolve bottlenecks and stability issues. 
7. Implement strong security practices (authentication/authorization, input validation, rate limiting, secure configuration) aligned with backend engineering standards.
8. Actively participate in the full development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment readiness, and continuous improvement of services and APIs. 
9. Build and maintain strong automated tests (unit/integration) and ensure quality gates (coverage, regression, CI checks) are met consistently
10. Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and mentor junior developers to elevate team capabilities and strengthen backend craftsmanship.
