Job Summary
Primary responsibility will be to ensure MDS products adhere to both domestic and international environmental compliance laws and regulations. This involves coordinating with the Product Stewardship team on corporate sustainability initiatives and ensuring alignment across the business. You will be tasked with collecting, reviewing, and inputting environmental compliance data, as well as reviewing product ingredients and bills of materials against RoHS, new REACH SVHC, Prop 65, TSCA, Battery Regulation, Packaging Regulations, WEEE Regulations. obligations and other Material of Concern (MOC) requirements. Additionally, this requires support 'where used' analysis to ensure compliance with various regulations & provide input and support to Research and Development (R&D) and Sustaining Engineering teams regarding Product Stewardship regulations and customer requirements. Responsible for creating reports and documents as needed, assisting in writing and reviewing department procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and utilizing SAP for general data management. Your expertise will be essential in qualifying new materials that meet various product stewardship regulations and working with third-party test labs for product stewardship testing. Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products and provide material positions to the business, as well as write job aids to meet various MOC regulations that can be translated into Standard Work Instructions (SWIs). Furthermore, collaborate with suppliers to collect material positions and analyze them to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
