Job Summary

JD - Oracle HCM Technical

 

Consultant/Lead Software Engineer 7 to 12 yrs Oracle HCM Technical

Should have 7 to 12 years of experience in Oracle HCM data migration, script development, extracts & reporting with at least 2 end to end projects involving the Core HR, Absence, Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Compensation, and Talent Suite modules. Function as a technical professional and subject matter expert, leveraging deep expertise in industry best practices and solution design to support multiple business processes and technologies. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment and technology to meet customer needs. Should also act as the consultant for functional streams. Participates in business development activities and develop solutions for the project requirements. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Experienced Oracle HCM Technical professional to design, develop, and implement solutions that support HCM business processes. This role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud tools, with a strong focus on data migration, integrations, reporting, and customizations (Fast Formula, Scripts, HSDL, Personalization). Collaborate closely with functional consultants, HR business partners, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable, robust technical solutions.
  2. Expected to have good articulation and presentation skills in both verbal and written.
  3. The candidate must have technical expertise on the below Oracle HCM functionalities
    • Design, develop, and execute complex data migration scripts using Oracle's HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL)
    • Develop, implement, and optimize data migration strategies, scripts, and procedures, ensuring best practices and compliance with company and industry standards
    • Coordinate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, and troubleshoot issues to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
    • Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to define migration requirements and deliver solutions aligned with project goals
    • Create and customize advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), BI Publisher (BIP), and HCM Extracts.
    • Develop fast formulas for absences & compensation modules
    • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data conversion and integration issues during mock conversions and system cutovers
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage and resolve technical challenges
    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including data mapping specifications and conversion programs
    • Raising SR, Coordination with Oracle on issue resolution, Assist in the identification and resolution of complex issues/problems on migration
    •  
  4. Should have completed at least 2 implementation projects on the above-mentioned mandatory skills and should be an independent contributor.
  5. The candidate should have been in client facing roles and interacted with customers in requirement gathering workshops.
  6. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills, personal drive, flexibility, team player, problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills.
  7. Willing to work in shifts

    • Agile Methodology of working
    • Exposure to Jira board management
