Overview of the Role

As an SAP MDM/MM Consultant specializing in the pharmaceutical sector, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing master data and materials management processes for our Life Sciences and Healthcare clients. Your expertise will directly contribute to streamlining supply chain, procurement, and regulatory compliance operations, ensuring high data integrity and supporting the delivery of safe and effective healthcare solutions. This role is vital to maintaining operational excellence and supporting the client’s digital transformation initiatives.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP MDM (Master Data Management) and MM (Materials Management) modules for pharmaceutical sector clients.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions that adhere to regulatory standards (such as GxP, FDA, EMA).
• Oversee master data governance, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry-specific regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, developers, and quality assurance to drive end-to-end SAP MM processes (procurement, inventory management, vendor management).
• Identify and resolve issues related to SAP MDM/MM, providing technical expertise and best practice recommendations.
• Conduct user training, develop documentation, and support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of SAP solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SAP system performance and operational efficiency.
• Support integration activities with other SAP modules and third-party systems relevant to the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP MDM and MM modules, preferably within the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes, regulatory compliance requirements, and master data governance.
• Experience with SAP implementation, configuration, data migration, and user support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multinational, cross-functional environment

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
