Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer with strong Python, backend, and software infrastructure experience to build scalable, data-driven platforms supporting Static Timing Analysis (STA) and physical design workflows. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, enjoys solving complex engineering problems, and embraces AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality. You will work closely with STA engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust software systems that power regression infrastructure, data analysis, and engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
Skill Requirements
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software platforms supporting Static Timing Analysis (STA) and physical design workflows.Build and maintain Python-based backend services using Flask or similar frameworks.Develop and enhance regression infrastructure and automation pipelines.Design data-driven systems for processing, storing, and analyzing engineering data.Collaborate closely with STA engineers to translate workflow requirements into robust software solutions.Build dashboards and reporting tools to improve engineering insights and productivity.Maintain and improve CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps.Work with distributed compute environments (LSF or equivalent) to manage large-scale regression execution.Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, Git workflows, and engineering best practices.Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase engineering productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications5–8 years of professional software development experience.Strong Python programming skills with experience building production-quality applications.Strong backend development experience using Flask, FastAPI, Django, or similar Python frameworks.Experience designing scalable software infrastructure, automation frameworks, or regression systems.Solid understanding of data-driven software design and architecture.Hands-on experience with SQL databases, including schema design, querying, and performance optimization.Experience building automation pipelines and data processing workflows.Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.Experience with Git version control and collaborative software development.Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.Familiarity with LSF or other distributed job schedulers.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, maintainable software systems.Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional engineering teams.
Other Requirements
Nice to HaveExperience with Static Timing Analysis (STA), physical design, or semiconductor EDA workflows.Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or AI workflow integration.Experience building dashboards, analytics platforms, or engineering data visualization tools.Working knowledge of TCL scripting.Experience with distributed computing or large-scale compute infrastructure.Exposure to cloud platforms or modern containerized deployment environments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
