Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Shell Script Developer with strong expertise in C-Shell (csh) and Korn Shell (ksh) scripting to support the migration and modernization of a large-scale financial application environment. The role involves refactoring and enhancing existing Linux-based batch processing scripts, integrating with SQL Server-based databases, supporting file processing workflows, and ensuring smooth operation of enterprise data pipelines. The environment includes Linux scripts, enterprise batch jobs, Informatica integrations, and large-scale data processing workflows

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, port and refactor existing C-Shell and K-Shell scripts as part of the SQL Server migration. 
Modify Linux batch processing scripts to connect and interact with SQL Server databases. 
Develop and enhance automation scripts for data loading, extraction, validation, and reconciliation processes. 
Support execution, monitoring, and troubleshooting of batch jobs and file-processing workflows. 
Create shell scripts to execute and schedule Informatica workflows and related data processing jobs. 
Work closely with database, ETL, and application teams to support migration and integration activities.
Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and support for Linux scripts.
Participate in SIT, UAT, and deployment activities by resolving script-related defects and issues.
Maintain technical documentation for scripts, scheduling processes, and operational procedures. 
Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for automation, logging, error handling, and operational support

Skill Requirements

8+ years of experience in Linux/Unix Shell Scripting development.
Strong experience in Linux/Unix Shell Scripting.
Hands-on expertise in C-Shell (csh) scripting.
Hands-on expertise in Korn Shell (ksh) scripting.
Experience with Linux command-line utilities and file system operations.
Experience developing and supporting batch processing workflows.
Knowledge of file handling, scheduling, monitoring, and automation scripts.
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing shell scripts.
Understanding of script-based data processing and integration workflows.
Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Cron.
Experience working in enterprise production support environments.

Other Requirements

SQL Server development and database connectivity using shell scripts.
Writing SQL queries, stored procedure execution, and data validation scripts.
Experience supporting data migration programs.
Informatica workflow execution and integration experience.
Data reconciliation and validation activities.
Exposure to financial services applications and batch processing systems.
Understanding of ETL and large-scale data processing environments

Minimum Salary (US):  95000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
